Everything you Need to Know About AIV Labor

The Most Frequently Asked Questions

Interested in learning more about AIV Labor? We ‘ve answered some of our frequently asked questions below.

What is AIV Labor?

AIV Labor is a proprietary agentic generative AI (GenAI) product developed by attorneys to assist HR professionals and attorneys in efficiently addressing well-established labor and employment law questions.

How does AIV Labor work?

AIV Labor conducts real-time searches across nearly 500 vetted federal, state and local legal sources to address labor and employment queries. Within the product, AI agents can autonomously perform tasks and adapt based upon changing statutes, legislation and codes. It asks users follow-up questions to ensure it provides accurate and complete responses.

How does AIV Labor stay updated with changes in the law?

AIV Labor provides up-to-date information through a proprietary real-time search mechanism. The sources used are handpicked by attorneys experienced in labor and employment law to ensure reliability and relevance.

Unlike other free or paid AI products, AIV Labor’s real-time search allows it, with near immediacy, to reflect legal updates. New legal sources and updates are incorporated into AIV Labor as they become available.

What type of questions can AIV Labor handle?

AIV Labor is designed to address labor and employment law questions, compliance issues, employee classifications, accommodations, leave policies, etc. This includes federal, all 50 states and several locales with more to be added in the future.

While you may be able to use AIV Labor to review short sections of policy, it is currently optimized for one question-one response.

What types of questions can AIV Labor NOT handle?

AIV Labor will not provide responses on:

  • Questions outside of the labor and employment area
  • Non-US questions
  • Questions that would require the product to understand non-public agreements, such as employment agreements or collective bargaining/union agreements
  • Questions regarding government employers or employment

How long will a response take?

Questions, on average, take about three minutes to receive a response. Some responses may be shorter or longer depending upon complexity. The process takes time because it is performing real-time searches across nearly 500 resources, a capability no other tool offers. After you ask a question and are awaiting the response, feel free to close the progress dialog to ask an additional question, explore your other questions in history, etc. When AIV Labor is finished working, the response to your question can be found by clicking back into that question in your history.

How does being an agentic AI make AIV Labor different?

Designed with a flexible “Agentic Design” approach, AIV Labor is engineered to process questions and conduct real-time research; subsequently compiling the research, performing a thorough analysis, and providing a response and follow-up steps. This modular approach enables the creation of specialized agents to manage tasks of varying complexity, optimizing the product’s performance and reliability.

Can I ask multiple questions in the same session?

The best prompts stick to one topic, one jurisdiction and ask one question at a time. We recommend you start a new session for each distinct question for best results. Although AIV Labor is currently optimized for one question-one response, you may ask any number of follow-up questions to refine or explore your question and/or response. Should you run into difficulty with follow-up questions, we recommend starting a new session.

How does AIV Labor handle sensitive and confidential information?

AIV Labor is safe for sensitive and client confidential information. All information is kept in vetted and secure resources complying with ISO 27001 security and privacy standards.
